Unbelievable

I took Colby to Tennesse. Hardest thing I have ever had to do! I have certain memories that will be in my memory for the rest of my life. I feel that I betrayed him and his unconditional love of a Grandma.

Sadness

We are having to return our grandson, Colby, to Tennessee to a birth family that really didn't do what they should have according to the law but....they are from Tennessee and could say whatever they wanted. The judge didn't site Tennesse law as the reason for returning him. Enough said, the judge will beheld accountable but it is ultimately Colby who will suffer the most. We love him so much and never dreamed this would happen.

Lana will be going with the social worker to turn him over, Traci and Jake cannot bear anymore heartache. That's just what mom's do for their family. Thanks for all of the prayers to keep Colby, now, please pray for swift healing. LDS Family Services made some mistakes but the judge only heard what he wanted to hear and accepted the lies. And he said he had the best interest of the child. As usual, the rights of parents supercede the rights of the child. Laws need to change so we don't end up with such damaged people.

Life

Okay, I have been told by my granddaughter Kailey that I need to update the blog. We have been busy with work and more work. We have been to Tennessee for a wasted trip to battle the birth father of Colby. We return on Monday to finally go to court, baring any more delays from Hatmaker the Wacko.

Bus has gotten a large donation for the college nursing program. Shouldn't all of my visits be free to Banner since he has pushed, shoved, and wrangled so much money and sent so many nurses there? They still can't get blood tests right with me either!!! Yes, I just had a visit to the hospital and am still getting tests. They ruled out a heart attack but they still have so much in the air. Maybe it is all in my head but I wish my head would quit waking me up with pain!!

Life has changed with the Lewis family here but we really do love having them here......well, Colby and Jessalyn! Their parents are pretty neat too. I love it when Traci has dinner waiting when I get home from work.

Okay, Kailey Anna, that's all for this post.

Happy Anniversary

Yesterday, Bus and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary. I think back to the young woman who giggled through a ceremony at the Oakland Temple. We had some good friends there but unfortunately, neither of our parents. My parents weren't members and Bus' parents weren't endowed. It was still a great day and a very smart decision on my part, Bus will have to answer for himself. We have had our ups and downs, happiness and sadness but we both agree it would have been so much harder without each other.

We were so young, it s trully amazing that we have had so much success at our marriage. We have five great kids and love them all.

More Shelby and Lewis

Shelby had the hard part of the mowing to do, the swing set. Then, she had to show a little cheesecake for us. The car picture was one that Lynnie told me not to take her picture so of course, I took one!

Lewis Family and Shelby Hit Town!

I just thought I would post some pictures of the visit of Shelby and what a big girl she is becoming. She loved "babystting" Colby and Jessalyn. After helping Grandpa mow the lawn, they had to cook their dinner too. They roasted hotdogs over the open fire. Traci and Jake had taken Colby to meet his new cousin Emma, the one he will get to love to pick on! We had lots of fun in the great outdoors right in our own backyard! We love this yard!

Reunion and Picnic

Bus, Bill, and Mike standing in the hall at MHS like they always did and watched the girls go by. Bus with his New Haven Elementary gang. The three women on the back left were extremely instrumental in the whole reunion and did agreat job. A classmate from the class of 1969, decorated and donated all of the cakes. There wer five, this one being the one for the whole reunion. The bottom photohas Lisa, Jan, Brian, Patty, me, Bus, and Joanne just before we called it a day after the picnic. Again, it was great to see everyone. It's time like this that make me miss Manteca!

40th High School Reunion

We went to our 40th high school reunion last weekend and had a ball. It was wonderful to see old friends and share memories and times that only old friends can remember. High school was a great time for us. both Bus and I lived it to our fullest. Mostly, we have great memories. Did we love to go to class all of the time, of course not but we picked classes we could have fun in. The top picture is a bunch of us, mainly Buffalo Gals and me the one lone cheerleader, in front of our mascot that is in Dawson Center. I led a few cheers around that buffalo. Yes, boys will be boys. Next is a picture of our old seminary buddies at Brian Fontes home in Manteca (one of four homes he owns). Bus is sitting and talking old times with his lifelong friend George Perry. The bottom picture is a group of my Lincoln Elementary buddies. One of my most special friends is fourth from the right, Jeanne Thomas. It is always good to see her and she is one of my heroes who suffers from MS and keeps going.

Fixing up the old place

Since we have been cleaning out closets to make room for the Lewis family, we figured we would paint too. There is still more decorating to do such as curtains but it is a beginning. The first two are the front bedroom with Ronnie's stuff in there and my parents old furniture. The last one is the new trundle bed and the middle, or green room.

Lacey's visit

Lacey Kay came to visit for acouple of days before she went to see friends in California. We took he to the Farmers' Market. Of course, she had no idea what a Farmers' Market is. she got very interested when she saw the water slide and othe activities. It seems like all she did was eat with Grandpa. You know how Bus loves to treat his grandkids to ice cream. He's so generous to eat it with them! I don't know what Lacey is doing with the pole, maybe dancing???? I wasn't around when that was taken.

More Universal Studios

Of course, the first picture is me doing what I do best while Bus sat and waited. I think that was at Sea World. Then, there is part of a car accident in The Fast and The Furious, all robotics!

You see me sitting with the "Director" while I am in the "Producer" seat. I always wanted to be a producer because they have a lot of money. Bus liked that idea too. Then, we listened to the Blues Brothers. The last to show some of the devastation of the fire at the studio. Notice the clock tower from Back to the Future is still standing!!! My children say we never take pictures but this time we did and you have only seen a few! Ahhhhhh, vacations always have to end.

Universal Studios too!!

Okay, so the first one is in Sea World. I had to take a picture of the Happy Feet! I'm sure you recognize Shaggy and Scooby at the bottom. I know what fans the Fairfield kids are of those two. We had to include Shrek so Lynnie would say it in her perfect way. Also, the ship is a scale model used in movies as a full size ship. you can kind of see the size by the bars on the tour bus. Cool, huh?

Sea World Fun

Bus is enjoying his vacation with ice cream, his favorite food. They wouldn't let us on the whale ride. how unfair that the trainers get all of the fun. Look at those dolphins jump. I wish I could do that!

To my beautiful daughter-in-law, this is how you should look on Splash Mountain, all smiles!!!! In fact, the Tower of Terror is the same expression, only smiles at Disneyland.
We went to Graumann's Theater and saw John Wayne's prints. I didn't do a very good job of getting the autograph etc. in there but that's who Bus is looking at. Of course, we needed to include Beauty and the Beast on a float. I also did get the floppy hat but.......then we rode Splash Mountain. I need to rescue it now that we are home. We had so much fun but we really missed the kids and grandkids too. Yes, Traci, we wish you could have been there too.

We made a few new friends at Disneyland. Bus the Pirate and his captain! Of course we ate at the Blue Bayou and waited to sit by the water! Mickey and I are old friends but I promised Jesalynn, Aly, and Emma that I would get his picture.
No we will never outgrow Disneyland but it's just not as easy as it use to be. We don't run from ride to ride anymore, take in more shows, and just enjoy the atmosphere! We still want an apartment on Main Street.

Disneyland

We just got back from our trip to Southern California. If it weren't for Disneyland and some of the other attractions, we could do without it. We love Disneyland. No, we will never grow up
